Seven or So — Songs I Never Get Tired Of Hearing
In this episode, we look at songs I have yet to get tired of hearing.
For me, music has always been a large part of my life. If I am awake, chances are, music is playing.
If you have Spotify (Best App Ever) I have included a link in case some are new to you.
Every Kind Of People — Robert Palmer
Many songs take me to very specific places or seasons. I have spring, summer and fall playlists. Some songs are more specific than that.
The third best job I ever had was being a fry cook at the Sonic Drive-In in Perry, Georgia, my junior and senior years of high school. This is definitely is a Sonic song.

Thunder Island — Jay Ferguson
Another Sonic song but this one gets even more specific. This is a ‘Making Onion Rings’ at Sonic Drive-In song. Some may say Jay is a ‘one-hit wonder’ but more than likely, you are aware of his second hit…the theme song to the television show ‘The Office’.

I’d Really Love To See You Tonight — England Dan & John Ford Coley
Definitely a ‘riding with the windows down’ in the heat of summer.

Everybody Wants To Rule The World — Tears For Fears
Not all songs are high school songs. This came out when I was at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!) and one reason I love this song so much is the wonderful guitar solo. (This song also appears on my ‘Seven or So — Songs With Perfect Guitar Solos)
Music started changing in the 80’s and this tune just reminds me of good times in Athens, Georgia
Walkaway Joe — Trisha Yearwood
This is a perfect ‘Three Minute Movie’ song. (Yes, I have a Seven or So — Great Three Minute Movie Songs) These songs tell a story and I have been a fan since I first heard ‘El Paso’ by Marty Robbins. This tune takes us to the 90’s and not only, lyrically, is it a great song, having Don Henley chiming in doesn’t hurt.
Some Place Green — Pat Terry
Pat Terry has been called a ‘songwriter’s, songwriter’ and the back story to this tune just adds to how much I enjoy this one. Pat has so many great songs that I never get tired of hearing but this one is near the top of that very long list.

The End of the Innocence — Don Henley
This is a ‘Fall Song’ for me and every time I hear Bruce Hornsby’s opening piano I pretty much stop what I’m doing and listen.
